One day later:
"Absolutely you may use my comment. Ron finished the book and he can't stand it either - we both want book two - hurry up and get it published!!!!"
Liberty's Inheritance is an amazing first book. Many new authors show promise but can't deliver the complexities of plot that an established author can. I like the verses at the beginning of each chapter, it keeps the focus on God. The fictional story is very historically well researched and is full of fun little-known facts. It's a nice blend of mystery, humor, suspense, and is an all around good story.

Just a little update! I've just attended the ReWrite conference in San Diego. My son, Peter, from Kentucky met me here for the event. It was a fantastic experience and the speakers were first class...George Barna, Jim Henderson and Paul Young who wrote The Shack...to name just a few! It was put on by the FEDD Agency and overall, I'd rate it very high on my list to attend again.
I made many contacts and connections and heard ideas from other authors.
The sequel to Liberty's Inheritance will come...hopefully within the year! Keep hanging in there, and I love your letters and support. You are great fans...keep those e-mails coming! :>)
Just a note to say...sorry I haven't been keeping up so well with my mail. I've had a personal tragedy and it hit me pretty hard. I am now, beginning to get back into the swing of things.
I will be on Christian Broadcasting here in Yakima. I did a prerecorded session which will be aired sometime next month. I also will meet my son, Peter, in San Diego for a writer's conference this month.
I've been waiting on a publisher for the past few months and should know, before too very long, if they would like to publish "Liberty's Land...Liberty's Destiny, Caitlin's Fire, and book five, perhaps named, Tory's Father. Keep praying out there and be patient...the second book will be coming! :>)
God Bless you!
Mary Ann
Mary,
Lana finally got her sight back well enough to finish your book. She raved so much about it I had to check it out. I am not much on reading so I downloaded the audio. I listened to the whole book in about 2 – 4hr sessions. Once you got started you couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. All I can say is “Awesome!!, Awesome!!” When is the next book coming? Will it also be in audio? You have a great talent with words and the way you describe this make you feel as though you are right there with the characters.
Keep up the great work
Love,
Phil and Lana (Metropolis, Illinois)
Hello to reader's of Liberty's Inheritance!
As a follow-up to my last posting, I have finished Book five...I'm not sure what to call it. Perhaps, just reading the excerpt about it, one of you could name it. I've thought of Tory's Father and The Boston Banker...any thoughts out there? :>)
E-mail me! hello@maryannkerr.com
I want to thank each of you for your letters of encouragement and desire for more books! As you know, so far I only have one published, but I am nearing completion of my fifth manuscript. I believe God has given me these stories and am excited when I hear someone tell me how the book has blessed them.
Keep the letters coming to hello@maryannkerr.com I love hearing from each of you and so far have been able to respond to each letter!
Blessings on you this day!
Mary Ann
Mary, just want you to know what a great book you have written! I can't wait to see what happens next! Guess I'll have too, though. I have totally fallen in love with the characters. Between readings, I kept thinking about Liberty and Elijah and then Matthew. I feel as if they're friends. Thanks so much for sharing the story...I loved it, girl!

Dear Jan, (my friend!)
Just wanted you to know I read the book you sent Jo Ann and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Really good story, very well written, and, believable too. Thanks for sending it. Jo Ann will read it as soon as she finishes her current book. Is this the author's first book? If so, she really did a great job. I look forward to the next book.

Mary Ann,
I finished the book last week, but forgot to e-mail you. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. It seemed the farther into it I got, the harder it was to put it down. I could picture everything so vividly that it seemed as if I was right there with the characters. I cannot wait for the next book to see if things turn out like I had hoped. The story itself is complete, but the ending really leaves you hanging, which is good, because I feel I am a part of these character’s lives and I now need to know what happens next! You really have talent and thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks for a great book,
Samantha (Stockton, CA)
You're not going to believe this, but Dual started reading your book last week and kept reading every chance he got till it was finished. He has never read a novel like that before. He loved it. Looking forward to the next one.

I just had a short interview on Good Morning Northwest at KAPP/KVEW announcing my book, Liberty's Inheritance and my first book signing!. See the video on Facebook. I'm trying to find a version that's not on Facebook and if I do I will post it here.
My son Andrew just finished the last illustration for the book on my birthday and I love it! This is an illustration of the property that Liberty and Maggie stay on for a good portion of the story. It will go on the back cover of the book.
I am SOOOO happy with the way the cover turned out! Thank you Andrew!!! I am excited he was able to do the cover for me. A big thanks to Andrew and also a big thanks to Tate.
